WEST END GIRLS HONOR CHOIR CONTRACT

In order for our group to attain the highest quality possible, there needs to be an agreement concerning the expectations for participation.

Choir meets on Tuesdays, 4:00-5:00, at Lewis and Clark Middle School

1. We understand that attendance on a regular basis is necessary.  After you have three absences for the year, you will no longer be a member of the choir.  Please do not call the schools regarding absences, just send a note with the member to the following rehearsal explaining the absence.

2. We understand that a full hour is needed for rehearsal time.  The student will be ready to sing at 4:00 p.m.  Any student arriving after 4:10 will be considered tardy.  Three tardies will be considered an absence.

3. We understand the student needs to be picked up by 5:10 at the latest.  There is no school district person to supervise them after that time.

4. We understand that student behavior needs to be appropriate for an honor group.  Students who disrupt rehearsal may be asked to leave the rehearsal.  Those who regularly disrupt the rehearsal will be asked to leave the choir.  Parents will be contacted before this step is taken.

5. Bathroom and drinks will be taken care of before rehearsal begins.  It is very disruptive to have students going in and out.  NO GUM at rehearsals or performances!

6. We understand that attendance at all performances is required and the choir uniform must be worn.  Missing a performance may mean an excusal for the choir.  Performances are all scheduled in advance, so please plan accordingly.

Dear West End Girls Honor Choir Members and Parent/Guardian,

Welcome to the West End Girls Honor Choir!  I am excited to begin working with such beautiful voices!

Attached you will find a copy of the Choir Contract.  Please read and then sign the acceptance form and fill out the information portion for our choir records. Bring it to the October 15 rehearsal.

The fee of $25.00 for registration and the tour fee of $20 will be due by October 15.  Please make checks payable to Billings Public Schools.  If you are on free or reduced lunch, please bring a copy of your free/reduced lunch letter from the school district to waive your registration fee.  The tour fee cannot be waived.

Please do not give your fee or Choir Contract to your school’s music teacher.

The Choir Contract must be signed and brought to choir, with the $25.00 participation fee and $20 tour fee by Tuesday, October 15.

This year we will be wearing for our performances solid black dress slacks, white long sleeve turtleneck shirts, black socks, and black shoes.
